2023 Producer Training | Bringing the Farm to School

A day-long, FREE, in-person workshop to help Connecticut producers understand and connect to schools!
Program goal: To give agricultural producers training and tools to build their capacity to launch or grow efforts to market to schools, therefore increasing sales to schools for farmers while expanding farm-to-school activities for students in schools and communities across the nation.
Topics to be covered include: Understanding how school procurement works, food safety for schools, planning for volume, frequency and pack standards, pricing, relationship building and more!
