The Movement Workshop series, offered free of cost to Connecticut farmers, covers better body mechanics and movement patterns in order to decrease injury potential, increase efficiency, and extend career longevity. Each session includes time to practice four basic movement patterns: hinge, squat, push and pull, along with kneeling patterns, rotation, and core stability.
The workshops will be held at four separate Connecticut farms. Sessions are limited to 15 participants.

Join the UConn Extension and a team of experts for an informative presentation and discussion on poultry health and disease, the use of various additives in poultry production, and related topics. The event will include an introduction to sustainable poultry, the basics of poultry health and disease, application of various natural compounds in production, beneficial bacteria for poultry, an update from the Connecticut Poultry Association, and a Q&A with the speakers and the Connecticut Department of Agriculture.

The Farm Viability Grant is a matching grant program for Connecticut municipalities, groups of municipalities, regional councils of governments and agricultural non-profit organizations for projects that directly impact and/or foster agricultural viability. Applications are being accepted through 4 p.m. on May 12th.
This virtual workshop is designed to assist interested applicants in learning about the structure of the grant and application process.
